“I hope death is like being carried to your bedroom when you were a child and fell asleep on the couch during a family party. I hope you can hear the laughter and chatter from the next room.”
My 4 year old has been asking a lot about death lately. I feel like I'm doing an ok job at being honest in an age appropriate way. My partner and I are teaching him, whilst you are teaching me so much. I am learning so much from you. What you are doing is the exact opposite of giving up. Lots of love to you old friend x
I keep daydreaming about bringing you a pizza and chatting while we eat with Walt at our feet. I didn't know the last time I saw you that it would be the last time I saw you. I snuck a photo of you and Mark and Walt because you all looked so relaxed. I'm so glad I did. You've made such a beautiful impact on our lives, just by being you. You really are one in a million. You're in our hearts, wherever you are. Love you x
Dugald - have been thinking of you , and getting so much from your posts. Thank you. Want also to drop you a 'hello how you doing mate" - keen battling with what to say so again thanks for the steer
Thank you for showing us how to be with you and how to face our own mortality with grace and calm. You give us peace in our hearts when we are grieving for you so deeply.
Sending you so much love and light as you embark on your next adventure, dear Dugald. You have been an inspiration and example of how to embrace what is. Thank you for sharing your experience. 💜 I hope one day to meet you on the other side!
Love you Duggys. Rest easy.
I read a quote that said:
“I hope death is like being carried to your bedroom when you were a child and fell asleep on the couch during a family party. I hope you can hear the laughter and chatter from the next room.”
We will all only be a room away.
